Cape Daisy by Julie Grose is a stainless steel and aluminium sculpture, standing 120 cm high, 54 cm wide, and 30 cm deep. The piece depicts a single Cape Daisy with a rich purple bloom.
The petals curl tightly at the base and then unfurl toward the tips, creating a flat, open surface at the edges. The centre of the flower is black and dotted with small bumps that represent pollen heads. These details add texture and contrast, drawing attention to the heart of the bloom.
The flower tilts slightly downward, as if bending in a gentle breeze. A slender metal rod supports it, rising smoothly from the base before curving subtly at the top. This support elevates the flower while adding a sense of movement. The petals’ polished surfaces catch the light, emphasizing the vibrant purple tones and the contrast with the textured black centre.
The sculpture balances abstraction with naturalism. While the petals have a stylized curl, the overall shape remains recognisable as a Cape Daisy. The combination of flowing lines, smooth surfaces, and fine details encourages the viewer to explore the piece from multiple angles.

The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
