The Warrior by Chaim Stephenson is a bronze resin sculpture over a metal armature, standing 161 cm high, 59 cm wide, and 51 cm deep. The piece depicts a stylised warrior in a strong yet abstract pose, combining elegance with rugged texture.
The figure stands tall, its slender frame giving it a poised and upright presence. The warrior looks slightly upward, as if gazing toward a distant horizon. In front, it holds a mesh-like shield. Light passes through the small holes, casting subtle shadows that enhance the sculpture’s depth. Behind, the sword stretches down, connecting the figure to the base. The long, straight blade anchors the composition while adding a sense of stability.
The helmet is distinctive. A swept-back crest extends from the head, lending movement and a sense of readiness. Despite its abstract form, the warrior conveys strength and focus through posture and proportion. The uneven, rugged surface contrasts with the smooth contours of the blade and shield, emphasizing the physicality and tactile quality of the material.
Stephenson balances abstraction and figurative detail. The figure’s elongated limbs, thin torso, and textured surface create a dramatic visual rhythm. The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
