Halliday Avray-Wilson’s Miner is a powerful figurative sculpture forged in welded steel. This unique piece measures 225cm high by 95cm wide by 145cm deep. The figure is caught mid-action, body braced and legs bent, as he drives all his strength into wielding his pickaxe. The tool is raised high behind his head, ready to strike, creating a sense of raw energy and physical determination.
The steel construction emphasizes the miner’s resilience. Angular lines, welded joints, and textured surfaces highlight the toughness of both the material and the subject. The scale, standing at over two metres high, enhances the monumentality of the piece, transforming a moment of labour into a timeless image of human endurance.

Delivery & Installation
The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 2 people, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
