Violinist from ‘The Silent Music Exhibition’ by Sean Crampton. Unique, welded bronze sculpture, 44cm high, 44cm wide, 20cm deep

This sculpture, “Violinist” from The Silent Music Exhibition by Sean Crampton, depicts a stylized female figure seated while playing the violin.

The piece is crafted in welded bronze, giving it a textured, almost perforated surface that conveys both movement and rawness. The figure wears a skirt, and her posture is relaxed yet expressive. One leg stretched forward while her arms delicately hold the violin and bow. Her form is elongated and abstracted. She has simplified facial features that emphasize gesture and rhythm over realism.

The overall effect captures a sense of quiet concentration and lyrical stillness. This aligns with the exhibition’s theme of “silent music” – expressing sound and emotion through form rather than audible notes.
