Hornbill by David Cooke is a commanding stoneware sculpture, signed as a unique edition. It measures 177 cm high, 83 cm wide, and 40 cm deep. The piece depicts a hornbill perched proudly on a slender steel stand, blending naturalistic detail with structural elegance.
The hornbill’s form is carefully modeled. Its long, curved beak, prominent casque, and detailed feathers convey both character and realism. The stoneware surface adds texture, emphasizing the contours of the wings and body. Light and shadow play across the form, enhancing the sense of depth and presence.
The steel stand elevates the hornbill, giving it a poised, surveying stance. Concrete elements at the base provide stability while subtly grounding the sculpture. The combination of materials—stoneware, steel, and concrete—creates a striking contrast between organic form and industrial support.

The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
