At first glance, the composition appears orderly and restrained, however, closer inspection reveals a dynamic interplay between form and gesture, turning the work into a lively exploration of human presence.

Fantini skilfully contrasts the rigid geometry of the squares with the varied poses of the figures. Moreover, each figure expresses its own mood, some recline, others twist or lean, while a few gesture outward, creating a rhythm along the ribbon that guides the viewer’s eye across the entire piece.
