Couple by Paul Riley is a dynamic resin sculpture. The piece captures the powerful energy of two figures locked in harmony. The man and woman balance delicately on a single leg each, their other legs wrapped around one another, creating a spiralling composition that feels both grounded and weightless. As they lean back, their heads tilt skyward, suggesting openness, trust, and surrender to the moment.
The figures hold hands firmly, their connection acting as the anchor of the composition. This simple gesture strengthens the visual balance while also underlining the intimacy between them. Their elongated heads add a stylised quality, pushing the piece into abstraction and giving the figures a universal, symbolic presence.
The sculpture strongly evokes the energy of dance. The entwined forms create flowing lines, and their sweeping movements seem to defy gravity, as if caught in an eternal routine of rhythm and grace. The resin surface smooths the figures into a unified whole, while the proportions amplify elegance.

The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
