Doran-Webb’s artistic process involves sourcing driftwood from various locations, mostly from beaches and river banks in the Philippines. He meticulously selects pieces that fit together to form realistic representations of animals. All the driftwood is dense enough to withstand years of exposure to extreme weathers. Therefore creating the unusual and individual shapes we see in his sculptures. The beauty of the reclaimed materials is highlight by James work.
