Ferryman by David Goode immediately draws viewers into a charming fantasy scene rich with motion and personality. This signed bronze sculpture, part of a limited edition of 50, spans an impressive 180 centimetres in width while rising 102 centimetres high and extending 35 centimetres deep. At the heart of the composition, a delightful goblin stands atop his slender boat and actively punts down an imaginary river. He doesn’t merely hold the pole, he leans into the movement, and consequently, the entire sculpture feels alive with forward momentum.
Moreover, Goode infuses the goblin with vivid character. His expressive, slightly mischievous face and elongated limbs enhance the whimsical tone. Furthermore, the carefully textured clothing and the subtle curve of the boat add layers of narrative detail. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
