After Michelangelo – David (Bust) Cast Iron, 60 cm high, 42 cm wide, 36 cm deep
This commanding cast iron bust offers a powerful reinterpretation of one of Western art’s most iconic sculptures, Michelangelo’s David. The form is meticulously cast and rich in detail. It captures the spirit of Renaissance idealism with a bold, modern twist. Measuring 60 cm high, 42 cm wide, and 36 cm deep, it creates a striking and solid presence.
The sculpture focuses on David’s neck and head. His gaze is intense. His jaw is sharply defined. The expression is calm and confident, yet full of thought. The energy of youth and courage is unmistakable. Cast in iron, it feels raw, grounded, and enduring. The dark patina and lightly weathered surface suggest permanence and resilience. The industrial texture contrasts with the classical lines, giving the piece a timeless yet contemporary feel.
This bust is ideal for collectors, art lovers, and interior designers alike. It serves as a dramatic focal point in modern or traditional spaces. Whether placed indoors or in a sheltered outdoor setting, it holds presence and power. This is more than a decorative object. It’s a celebration of strength, form, and art across time. A bridge between past and present. A sculpture that invites thought, presence, and admiration.
