Trojan Horse by Antonia Spowers is a large, abstract sculpture standing 250 cm high, 240 cm wide, and 120 cm deep. The piece depicts a horse on wheels, yet its form is highly stylized. The horse lacks realistic detail, instead composed of an array of materials that create curves, flat planes, and angular edges. Despite the abstraction, the silhouette remains clearly recognizable as a horse.
The sculpture combines various metals, including copper, steel, and other alloys, each contributing distinct colour and texture. The metals range from black and brown to turquoise, creating visual contrast and highlighting the interplay of surfaces. These colours and finishes catch light differently, emphasizing the layered construction and the interplay between solid and void.
A wooden base supports the horse, fitted with four small wheels, reinforcing the sense of movement and mobility. The wheels suggest the potential for play or transport, echoing the historical idea of the Trojan Horse as a vehicle of strategy and surprise.

The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 2 people, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
