Resonance 2 by Sue Jones transforms a scientific idea into a striking visual statement. This unique abstract sculpture stands 73cm high, 60cm wide, and 20cm deep, commanding attention through its scale and material presence.
At first glance, its form appears simple, a large stone and metal circle. Yet as you look closer, the detail comes alive. Inside the circular frame, shards of slate fan inward from all directions. Each jagged piece aims at the centre, as if pulled by an invisible force. This inward tension captures the essence of resonance: a hidden vibration matching its perfect frequency.
The mix of rough slate, solid stone, and sleek metal creates a dynamic contrast. One moment feels raw and earthy, the next precise and industrial. Together, these materials echo the push and pull between chaos and harmony. Moreover, the empty space inside the circle hums with silent energy. It feels contained, yet restless.

The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
