Lady Godiva by Isaac Kahn is a bronze abstract sculpture, measuring 92cm high by 50cm wide by 114cm deep. Isaac Kahn reimagines the legendary figure of Lady Godiva in a bold, abstract style. The bronze sculpture shows a reclining female figure stretched along the back of a horse. Her arms wrap gently around the horse’s neck, a gesture of intimacy and trust.
The horse lowers its head toward the ground, one hoof raised as if scuffing the earth in quiet anticipation. This subtle movement gives the piece a sense of energy, contrasting with the calm stillness of the rider. The flowing lines of both figures merge, creating harmony between woman and animal.
The sculpture rests on a solid marble base, adding weight and balance to the composition. Cast in bronze, the work combines strength with elegance, its surfaces catching light to reveal smooth curves and expressive textures.
From an edition of nine, Lady Godiva reflects Kahn’s gift for blending figuration with abstraction. He strips back detail to focus on rhythm, form, and the emotional bond between subject and symbol. The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
