EARLY LIFE:
John Cox maintained a lifelong interest in art across various forms, though he only later pursued sculpture on a commercial basis.

LIVES:
He was based in Suffolk, England.

CAREER:
Cox developed a body of sculptural work focused primarily on life studies of people and animals, while also exploring a broader range of subjects to appeal to diverse audiences.

Following his passing, his original designs and artistic legacy have been continued by his wife and daughter, Joy and Jayne, who work together to expand the existing portfolio. As a team, they have undertaken numerous commissions, including the sculpture of Edward Douglas-Scott-Montagu, which stands at the entrance to the Beaulieu Motor Museum.

MATERIALS:
Primarily traditional sculptural materials, including bronze and resin.

STYLE AND SUBJECTS:
His work is rooted in observational study, particularly of human and animal forms, capturing lifelike detail and character.
