Pair of Geese (Water Feature) by John Cox is a figurative bronze sculpture featuring two large geese. The taller goose stands 120 cm high, 80 cm wide, and 45 cm deep, with its head lifted upward. Its counterpart measures 88 cm high, 70 cm wide, and 50 cm deep, bowing gracefully toward the ground. The taller goose is designed to be plumbed in, allowing water to flow from its bill, turning the sculpture into a functional water feature.

The pair mirror each other in posture and energy, creating balance while remaining independent. Both geese exhibit detailed sculpting, with intricate feathers and scaled textures adding realism and depth. Their forms are carefully smoothed, giving the surfaces a refined touch while preserving a natural bronze palette. Shades of grey and brown move subtly across the sculptures, enhancing the sense of life and dimension.

The contrast between the upright and bowing forms adds rhythm and movement, suggesting interaction and attentiveness. The dynamic posture of the taller goose draws the eye upward, while the lower, bowing figure grounds the composition. Together, they form a harmonious pair that conveys elegance, strength, and natural beauty.

Pair of Geese (Water Feature) balances artistry and functionality. The sculptures work as standalone pieces or as a fountain centrepiece, combining the tactile appeal of bronze with realistic detailing and expressive forms. Their lifelike poses, textured surfaces, and commanding presence make them a striking representation of grace, movement, and the natural world.
