This piece by Lovemore Bonjisi is a unique Shona sculpture carved from springstone. The piece features three abstract female heads, stacked vertically in a striking totem like formation.
Each head is stylised, with smooth, rounded features and closed eyes, suggesting peace and unity. Though similar in form, subtle differences set them apart, slight shifts in shape, and gentle colour variations in the stone. These differences hint at individuality, while their shared posture and material speak to deep connection.
The polished springstone gives the sculpture a rich, almost fluid texture. Light glides across the surface, highlighting the flowing contours and soft transitions between each head. In contrast, small untouched areas keep a natural feel, grounding the piece in its raw origin.
Bonjisi’s composition flows upward, guiding the eye from the base to the top. This vertical movement suggests growth, support, and shared strength. Despite the abstract form, the emotional message is clear, sisterhood, unity, and harmony through difference.

Delivery & Installation
The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
