Yuelong Shi’s Emerging III presents a compelling dialogue between form and material, capturing the moment of transformation as a figure gradually takes shape within the solidity of stone. At 109 cm high, 115 cm wide, and 62 cm deep, the sculpture occupies space with both presence and grace. The piece depicts a smooth, human like form appearing to emerge from the surrounding marble, as though life itself is carving its way from the raw rock.
Shi manipulates the marble’s surface to emphasize contrast between the polished, gentle curves of the figure and the rugged texture of the encasing stone. The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
