Double Root Arm Chair, Teak, Unique, 180cm high, 200cm wide, 120cm deep, Furniture sculpture
Double Root Arm Chair is a unique furniture sculpture crafted from solid teak wood, measuring 180 cm high, 200 cm wide, and 120 cm deep. This striking piece transforms a natural tree root into a functional armchair while preserving its organic beauty.
The root itself forms the heart of the design. Sliced and positioned upright, it creates a dramatic and textured backrest, showcasing intricate grain patterns, knots, and natural curves. The cut reveals the warm golden-brown tones of the teak, giving the chair a rich, inviting presence.
Flowing outward from the back, other sections of the root are carefully shaped into broad armrests, each retaining irregular edges and unique contours. These natural lines lend the chair a sculptural quality, making it as much an art piece as it is furniture. The base is formed from sturdy root sections as well, ensuring stability while maintaining the raw, unrefined charm of the original wood.
Smoothly polished seating surfaces contrast with the rugged exterior edges, offering comfort without losing the tactile appeal of the material. The design blends craftsmanship and nature, allowing the wood’s original form to dictate the chair’s overall shape.
As a result, Double Root Arm Chair becomes more than just seating. It stands as a celebration of natural form, skilled woodworking, and the beauty of teak in its most organic state.
