Maylee Christie expands the language of surrealism through monumental forms that fuse industrial strength with organic imagination. In Passion Flower, she constructs a towering flower over three metres high, its petals forged in stainless steel and encrusted with a vivid mosaic of glass and enamel.
The surface shimmers with colour as each piece of glass reflects and refracts light. Transforming the steel framework into a radiant, living presence. The contrast between the sculpture’s robust structure and its fragile, jewel-like surface captures a tension at the heart of Christie’s practice, strength entwined with delicacy, permanence infused with transience.
The surreal scale turns a simple blossom into a fantastical monument. Christie elevates the familiar into the extraordinary, inviting viewers to step into a world where nature dominates space with dreamlike intensity. The title, Passion Flower, underscores both the sensuality of colour and the emotional resonance of transformation.

Delivery & Installation
The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require specialised equipment, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park and outside sources. We can provide an installation service upon request, please email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
