Stud by Jill Tweed stands as a powerful figurative bronze sculpture, capturing the commanding presence of a ram in full stance. Measuring 80 cm high, 105 cm wide, and 45 cm deep, the work projects strength and dignity while retaining a sense of natural poise.
The ram spreads its legs in a wide, grounded stance, as though preparing to hold its ground against any challenge. Its great curling horns frame the head with bold curves, immediately drawing the eye. The bronze carries a rich blue-green patina that shifts under the light, creating depth and movement across the surface. This patina enhances the textured finish, which gives the impression of thick wool along the ram’s body. The rough surface contrasts with smoother areas around the head and horns, highlighting both strength and detail.
Tweed uses texture and proportion to capture not just the physical form of the ram, but also its spirit. The animal appears calm yet alert, powerful yet composed. Viewers sense its readiness, a quiet resilience embodied in bronze.

The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
