Some Body Dance With Me (Male) by Chris Mungandaire transforms solid Springstone into a burst of movement. The sculpture stands 152cm high, 98cm wide, and 60cm deep. It shows a male torso captured mid in dance. The body twists with energy. Muscles rise across the chest and shoulders. They show power without stiffness.
The torso leans as if responding to a beat. One arm sweeps outward. The gesture pushes the figure forward. Although parts of the body are missing, the movement feels complete. The dancer communicates only through posture. He does not need facial expression. The form itself tells the story.
Springstone gives the sculpture a dark, smooth surface. Light slides across its polish. Shadows deepen in the curves. These changes make the pose feel alive. As you walk around the sculpture, new angles appear. Shapes shift like steps in a dance.
Mungandaire invites the viewer to follow the motion. We see rhythm in every curve and edge. The sculpture becomes more than stone. It becomes a performance frozen in time. The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 2 people, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
