This piece is a unique Shona sculpture carved from smooth green avocado stone. Measuring 34 cm high, 75 cm wide, and 65 cm deep, it features a simplified, flowing depiction of a deer family resting together in peaceful unity.
Three larger deer rest protectively around a smaller one, their bodies nestled close in a relaxed, almost circular composition. The forms are abstract but clearly recognizable, with gently rounded shapes and softly sculpted outlines that suggest warmth, care, and quiet affection. Nyashenga avoids fine detail, instead focusing on the emotional connection between the figures.

The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
