Icarus X is a monumental bronze sculpture by acclaimed British sculptor Nicola Godden. The piece is inspired by the induring Greek myth of Icarus and humanity’s timeless desire to transcend physical limitations.
The sculpture presents a powerful mythical figure whose upward reaching form conveys a compelling sense of aspiration, movement and flight. Godden’s interpretation captrures both the exhilaration and vulnerability a the heart of the ancient story.
Cast in bronze, the work combines a commanding physical presence, with an expressive organic surface characteristic of Godden’s figurative practice.
Delivery & Installation
The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 2 people, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
We can provide a suitable sculpture plinth for an extra charge, please enquire for details. Experienced professionals handle all our sculptures, ensuring safe delivery and proper installation.
Please allow 12 weeks for the piece to be cast before delivery.
