Lady with a Smile by Enzo Plazzotta is a 166 cm high, 45 cm wide bronze sculpture from an edition of nine, finished with a rich black patina. The figure stands gracefully, her body relaxed and composed. Her head tilts slightly as she gazes to the right, her calm expression paired with a gentle smile. Her hair forms a large bun at the back of her head, emphasizing the elegant curve of her neck.
The long cloak wraps around her body, draping over her shoulders and arms. She clasps it lightly at her collarbone, allowing the fabric to fall naturally. The cloak cascades down to the floor, folding and piling in detailed layers. These folds add depth and movement to the sculpture. The surface is mostly smooth, yet subtle ridges and sculpting marks remain, giving the figure texture and character.
Plazzotta contrasts the figure’s stillness with the flowing energy of the cloak. The natural bronze colour, enhanced by the black patina, emphasizes shadow and light across the folds. This interplay of tone accentuates the sculpture’s three-dimensionality. The visible sculpting marks guide the viewer’s eye across the figure, highlighting her form and presence.

The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 2 people, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
