Fighting Peacocks by Gill Holland is a unique sculpture crafted from galvanized and copper wire. Standing 210cm high, 100cm wide, and 90cm deep, this dynamic piece captures a dramatic moment between two peacocks locked in confrontation.
The birds, life-sized and highly expressive, face one another with wings outstretched in mid-display. Their bodies arch upward, conveying tension and movement. Meanwhile, their long tails droop beneath them, trailing elegantly toward the ground. This contrast between rising energy and grounded form adds a sense of balance to the composition.
The copper wire creates a rich, textured surface that shifts in tone with the light, bringing the birds to life. Each feather, wing, and curve of the body is formed with careful attention, highlighting the artist’s skill in shaping metal into organic, fluid forms.

The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 2 people, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
