Crow by David Cooke, Bronze, Metal, Unknown Edition,13cm high, 13cm wide, 11cm deep, Bird

A figurative bronze sculpture of a crow perched on a rock and looking down.

Crow by David Cooke is a finely crafted bronze sculpture capturing the quiet intensity of a crow perched thoughtfully on a rock. Measuring 13cm high, 13cm wide, and 11cm deep, this figurative piece is small in scale but rich in character.

The crow’s posture, with head tilted and eyes cast downward, evokes a moment of stillness and curiosity. The detailing of its feathers and stance gives the sculpture a lifelike quality. The patina of the bronze adds depth and texture.

This piece reflects Cooke’s talent for observing and portraying the natural world with subtle emotion. Whether displayed on a shelf, desk, or mantle, Crow is a contemplative and elegant tribute to one of nature’s most intelligent and mysterious birds.

David Cooke was born in West Yorkshire, UK, in 1970. David works primarily in clay, but many pieces are mixed media. In 2011 he began bronze casting, and now has a range of limited edition bronze pieces. He has tackled many animal subjects – such as crabs, dinosaurs and gorillas, but has tended to specialize in reptiles and birds.
