Dragon by Lindon Suett is a striking, handcrafted steel sculpture of a dragon’s head. Standing 82cm high, 50cm wide, and 40cm deep, this unique piece commands attention with its bold, stylised form and intricate surface detail.

Made entirely from steel, the sculpture showcases Suett’s skill in metalwork. Each scale is individually shaped and textured, creating a layered, almost armoured appearance. Its darker underbelly and throat providing a clear contrast to the rest of its shiny body. The dragon’s eyes are intense and expressive, with a mouth full of rows of sharp needle like teeth add drama and power. Sharp horns and ridges accentuate the creature’s mythical presence.

Although stylised, the form feels alive. The curves and contours follow a natural rhythm, giving the dragon a dynamic, almost breathing quality. Its raw steel surface glints under light, further highlighting the fine craftsmanship and adding depth and shadow to every detail.

During the Covid‑19 lockdown in 2020, Lindon discovered his passion for metal art and sculpture. He dedicated himself to creating unique pieces and, in 2023, featured on the BBC TV show Make it at Market. During this experience, he learned many new techniques and reflected, “I may be a welder, but metal art requires a different set of skills and a delicate touch.” Since the show aired, he has happily seen his business transform almost overnight.
