A large contemporary stainless steel sculpture showing steel blades positioned on top of each other. As a result this gives the impression that the sculpture is twisting. In addition, at the top there is a steel spike pointing upwards.
Twistin’ is suitable for a garden or outdoor public display. It acts as both a work of art and a meaningful marker.
Malcolm Robertson an acclaimed Scottish artist crafted Twisting by the Pool in 1996. Commissioned for a company in Rosyth, Scotland, the stainless steel artwork stands approximately 4.4 meters (14.4 feet) tall.
Malcolm was born in Edinburgh, 1951. He gained a sculpture diploma from Glasgow School of Art in 1974 and his teaching diploma in 1975. In 1991 he established his own professional practice. He has a vast collection of site specific sculptures made from many different materials. His work can be found in UK, India, Asia and Germany. Malcolm works to commission and is now based in Scotland after being a part time resident in Florida for 16 years.
