Shepherd by Richard Lawrence is a unique stone sculpture standing 150cm high, 92cm wide, and 68cm deep. Carved with a bold yet restrained hand, the piece presents an abstracted interpretation of a shepherd with two lambs. While figurative in essence, the work avoids intricate detailing, instead embracing a highly stylised form that emphasizes gesture and presence over realism.
The shepherd appears tall and grounded, holding a pole in one hand, a symbol of guidance and protection. Under his arm, he carries one of the lambs, its simplified form cradled securely against his side. The second lamb stands close, folded seamlessly into the sculpture’s flowing lines. The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 2 people, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
