Seed Pod by Tom Hare is a striking abstract stainless steel sculpture, standing 240 cm high with a width and depth of 90 cm.
The piece represents a seed pod in a minimalistic yet dynamic form. Metal poles bend and twist to create the shape of an open pod, giving the impression of organic growth frozen in time. The pod’s petals splay outward gracefully, forming a circular, enveloping structure.
At its base, the bulbous section curves in and out, creating visual tension as it meets the stem. The stem itself is a thicker metal pole, contrasting with the slender poles of the pod. It rises with subtle bends and curves, anchoring the sculpture while maintaining a sense of natural movement.
The polished stainless steel reflects light across its surfaces, emphasizing the flowing forms and intricate overlaps of the poles. Each curve and angle adds rhythm, making the sculpture feel alive despite its rigid material.
From every viewpoint, the sculpture invites the eye to travel along its lines, tracing the elegant arcs from base to tip. The interplay of thickness and thinness, concave and convex shapes, and open and enclosed spaces enhances the organic quality, while the industrial material adds modernity.

Delivery & Installation
The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
We can provide a suitable sculpture plinth for an extra charge, please enquire for details. Experienced professionals handle all our sculptures, ensuring safe delivery and proper installation.
