Laughter, Love and Happiness by Fungai Dodzo is a unique Shona springstone sculpture measuring 70 cm high, 43 cm wide, and 25 cm deep. The piece shows a family of three antelopes, abstracted into one flowing form. Each body curves over the next, creating a sense of connection, intimacy, and shared motion.
The top antelope features large, sweeping antlers. The middle figure remains hornless, while the smallest, lowest antelope emphasizes scale and progression. These differences add rhythm and hierarchy to the composition. The simplified shapes focus attention on relationships rather than detail, guiding the eye from one head to the next. The arrangement conveys harmony, playfulness, and gentle interaction.
Dodzo polished the sculpture fully, bringing out the deep black of the springstone. Light dances across the smooth surfaces, emphasizing curves and subtle ridges. The reflective sheen enhances the sense of movement and continuity, while small variations in the stone add depth and texture.

The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
