Elevated Triangulation Station by Wilfred Pritchard is a striking, one-of-a-kind sculpture that merges structure, clarity, and light.
At the center of the piece, a pyramid of translucent glass balls rises in clean, geometric formation. These smooth spheres, with their subtle turquoise hue, catch and reflect light, drawing the viewer’s eye upward. Rather than simply resting on a surface, the pyramid is raised on a polished steel platform, which in turn is supported by a slender yet stable stand. This elevation gives the sculpture a sense of purpose and focus, almost like a beacon or a scientific instrument.
Moreover, the relationship between the glass and steel is key. The cool, industrial precision of the steel contrasts sharply with the softness and organic glow of the glass. This tension between materials creates visual interest and invites closer inspection.
As the viewer moves around the piece, the light shifts and refracts through the glass spheres. The sculpture transforms depending on the angle and time of day, offering a dynamic, ever-changing experience. The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
