Draped Torso transforms marble into a study of form, texture, and colour. Standing 65 cm high, 66 cm wide, and 15 cm deep, the sculpture presents a torso that balances figurative recognition with abstract expression. Vanstone emphasizes the human form while inviting viewers to explore the interplay between solidity and suggestion. The yellow hued marble immediately catches the eye. Creating a vibrant warmth that contrasts with the cool permanence of the stone itself.

From the left shoulder, a draped cloth cascades gracefully, softening the sculptural lines and lending a sense of movement to an otherwise static medium. This flowing element draws attention to the torso’s contours, highlighting the tension between smooth, polished surfaces and subtle, carved textures. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
