This piece is a unique sculpture it presents a collection of taxidermy sea creatures mounted on a flat blue board. Each creature is carefully positioned to display its form clearly, highlighting the variety and detail of the specimens.
Small labels sit beneath each figure, showing both the scientific and common names. These provide context and guide the viewer through the display, emphasizing the educational as well as visual aspects of the work. The creatures are arranged to balance size, shape, and orientation, creating a cohesive and organized composition.
The entire board is encased in a clear Perspex display case. The case protects the specimens while maintaining full visibility from the front and sides. The smooth, transparent surface contrasts with the textures of the mounted creatures, allowing their details to stand out.
The sculpture combines natural history with presentation design. The blue background evokes a sense of the ocean while keeping focus on the individual figures. The careful placement, labelling, and encasement create a structured yet engaging display. Delivery & Installation
The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
