This piece by Joan Roberts is a unique springstone sculpture measuring 100 cm high, 45 cm wide, and 50 cm deep.
The piece depicts a stylised flame, rising upward with elegant energy. Each section of the flame is clearly defined, curving and twisting as it ascends. The sculptor emphasizes the upward movement, giving the impression that the flame is alive and flickering. Smooth and polished surfaces alternate with natural stone textures, adding depth and contrast.
At the centre, the flame curls into a subtle swirl. This focal point draws the eye and reinforces the sense of motion, creating a visual rhythm as the forms spiral outward. The surrounding “tongues” of the flame fan gracefully, each piece tapering to a point, yet still clearly part of the whole.

The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
