Realism
Realism sculpture accurately depicts an object or scene by replicating its outward appearance. Realism sculptures are more concerned with representing reality than expressing feelings in an abstract way.
It is a broad art movement that can refer to a number of things, including:
-
A 19th century art movementA style of painting that depicts everyday subjects in a naturalistic way. French Realism is a well-known example of this style, which broke away from historical and allegorical subjects in favor of real people in ordinary settings.
-
A contemporary styleA style of hyper-realistic paintings that mimic photographs.
-
A 3D art styleA style that uses detailed 3D modeling, high-resolution textures, advanced lighting and shading techniques, and lifelike animations to create a realistic appearance.
-
A theory in international relationsA theory that explains the reality of international politics by emphasizing the constraints on politics that result from human egoism.
-
A literary styleA style that uses realistic characters and focuses on social issues, everyday struggles, and truths.
