Lucy Kinsella was born in Hampshire in 1960. She later pursued formal artistic training, developing a strong foundation in sculpture that would define her career.

CAREER:
Kinsella graduated from the Loughborough University in 1989 with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art Sculpture. Following her studies, she was awarded the Dante Alighieri Travelling Scholarship, which took her to Florence, as well as the Dennis Holt Travelling Bursary, enabling travel to Southern Ireland. These experiences contributed to her artistic development and international perspective.

STYLE AND SUBJECTS:
After graduating, Kinsella focused on developing her practice as an animal sculptor. Her work is influenced by artists such as François Pompon, Edgar Degas, and Rembrandt Bugatti, as well as contemporary sculptor Jonathan Kenworthy. She is known for her sensitive and observational approach to animal form.
