EDUCATION:
Graduated from University of Surrey Roehampton with a BA in Art in the Community.
CAREER:
Based in London, Nicolas works as both a ceramic sculptor and landscape painter, producing works that explore the relationship between natural processes and artistic form.
MATERIALS:
Works primarily in ceramics and metals. His stoneware pieces are hand-built using a coiling technique, then carved and glazed with metal oxides to achieve natural surface effects. Each piece is fired to 1260°C.
STYLE AND SUBJECTS:
Inspired by nature and organic forms, Nicolas creates semi abstract sculptural landscapes. His work often reflects the effects of natural elements, erosion, growth, and movement, captured through textured clay surfaces and flowing forms.
