Birdbath by Ben Nicolas is a unique stoneware sculpture measuring 84 cm high, 45 cm wide, and 45 cm deep. The piece presents an abstract birdbath with a striking, intricate base and a compact, tall bowl.
The base resembles coral or an exoskeleton, with natural curves, tall ridges, and irregular gaps throughout. These voids and holes create a sense of lightness and movement while maintaining structural balance. Blue accents appear between the ridges, enhancing depth and texture while giving the base a vibrant, organic quality.
The bowl rises above the complex base. Its compact, vertical form contrasts with the elaborate structure below, providing stability and focus. The smooth, simple surface of the bowl highlights the intricate details of the foundation.
The sculpture emphasizes rhythm, repetition, and contrast. The interplay between solid forms, hollow spaces, and coloured accents draws the eye upward from base to bowl. Light interacts with the ridges and gaps, casting shadows and enhancing the sense of depth and movement.

Delivery & Installation
The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
