Spectral Columns, installed at The Sculpture Park, rises as a striking display of stainless steel and acrylic. Each column stands at 200 cm high, forming a rhythmic sequence that transforms space into a gallery of colour and light.
The artist builds each column with sharp cubist influence. Geometric steel frames hold vibrant panels of acrylic, their surfaces alive with shifting hues and bold patterns. Some panels glow with deep blues and greens, while others spark with vivid reds, yellows, and oranges. As daylight strikes the surfaces, the colours scatter across the ground, producing reflections that dance and change with every movement of the viewer.
This interaction makes the piece dynamic. The sculpture does not stay still in the eye, instead it constantly shifts, depending on light, weather, and perspective. Walking around the work, one sees glass shimmer, steel shine, and colours overlap in unexpected ways.
The stainless steel gives structure and strength, anchoring the piece in modernist tradition. In contrast, the acrylic panels inject brightness and playfulness, bringing a contemporary edge. Together, they balance solidity with lightness, form with energy.
Spectral Columns celebrates perception itself. It invites viewers to move, to notice, and to reflect, literally and figuratively on how colour and form can change a familiar space into a vibrant, immersive experience.
Delivery & Installation
The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
