Duelo De Toros (Bullfight) by Maria Bayardo is a commanding resin sculpture that captures the raw energy and tension of two bulls in mid-charge. Measuring 1.86m high, 4.50m wide, and 2.40m deep, the work has a monumental presence, its scale amplifying the drama of the scene.
The sculpture depicts two bulls locked in confrontation, each raised on black stands. Their front hooves lift from the ground, while their heads drop low in the unmistakable stance of attack. Rather than focusing on anatomical precision, Bayardo strips the figures down to sweeping, stylised forms. The bulls’ bodies flow in powerful curves and broad shapes, their smooth red surfaces heightening the sense of movement and intensity.
By reducing detail, Bayardo shifts attention to rhythm and balance. Emphasizing the mirrored motion of the animals as they surge toward impact. The glossy red resin adds a symbolic layer, suggesting passion, danger, and vitality, while also drawing the viewer’s eye across the bold, simplified forms.

Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
