The Boar by Stephen Hunton is a stone resin sculpture measuring 50 cm high, 38 cm wide, and 60 cm deep. Each groove and ridge a mark of deliberate craftsmanship.
The boar’s form feels alive with texture. Its snout pushes forward, nostrils flared, while a powerful set of tusks curl out from its mouth. Across the back of the head, strands of fur are carefully carved, their rhythmic flow contrasting the rougher surfaces that surround them. The sculpted lines give the work a sense of movement and vitality, as though the animal might snort and shake its head at any moment.
Hunton’s use of stone resin allows for fine detailing while maintaining the impression of weight and solidity. The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
