Torso by Joe Inglis is a unique lead sculpture measuring 55 cm high, 44 cm wide, and 43 cm deep. It depicts a male torso in striking detail, capturing the shoulders, chest, and neck while leaving the head and limbs absent.
The figure is partially draped in what appears to be ripped fabric. The cloth features irregular holes and tears, giving it a worn, weathered look. Its folds and creases are carefully sculpted, appearing almost separate from the body beneath. This effect emphasizes the contrast between the smooth, solid torso and the delicate, fragile quality of the fabric.
The lead medium lends the sculpture a muted, heavy aesthetic. Its weight and density reinforce the sense of permanence and solidity, while subtle surface textures catch the light, accentuating musculature and contours.

The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
