Theia is depicted as a powerful and radiant figure. Theia is the titan goddess associated with light, the shining sky according to Greek mythology.  She is seen as the mother of the moon (Selene) and the sun,(Helios).

Being the goddess of light, this sculpture conveys a sense of ethereal beauty.

Nicola Godden uses flowing lines and smooth surfaces in her sculpture, which represents Theia’s connection to light and the fluid nature of the cosmos.

Firstly, It was Roddy Lewellyn who gave Nicola her first commission. Which then featured in his book Beautiful Backyards.
