Resting Woman by Stella Shawzin is a unique white marble sculpture, standing 60cm high, 120cm wide, and 60cm deep. The piece depicts a female figure lying back in a relaxed, yet composed pose. One arm gently supports her upper body, allowing her to look ahead. One knee is bent upward, while the other leg extends to the side. Her other hand rests softly on her thigh, completing the relaxed posture.
The figure’s form is smooth and rounded, emphasizing the natural curves of her body. The absence of facial features directs attention to the body’s graceful lines and the overall gesture. This minimalist approach gives the sculpture a timeless, universal quality, focusing on the beauty of form over detail.
While the figure is polished and smooth, the ground beneath her contrasts sharply. The base has a rugged, chiseled texture, adding depth and interest. Delivery & Installation
The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 2 people, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
