This piece by Brendon Murless depicts a nude female figure with a small child by her side. The woman leans forward with confidence, her head tilted upward. The figure’s legs transition into a flowing, abstract mass. It almost resembles a dress, yet it lacks defined folds. This abstract base merges naturally with the human forms above, giving the sculpture a sense of organic unity.
The bronze resin retains all the grooves, cracks, and textures from its original wood carving. The surface is painted to enhance this effect, mimicking natural wood tones. The wood’s growth rings appear across the sculpture, emphasizing its handcrafted origins.
The combination of smooth and textured areas, along with the dynamic pose, guides the viewer’s eye from the child up to the woman’s face and hair. Light catches the curves and details, highlighting both form and texture.

The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 2 people, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
