The Large Root Horse Head is a one of a kind sculpture. It is hand carved and sculpted from reclaimed teak tree roots. Standing 120 cm tall, it captures the spirit and strength of the horse. Through a careful blend of natural wood textures and skilled craftsmanship, the sculpture draws the viewer in.
The artist shapes each section from gnarled and twisted teak roots. Carefully selecting pieces for their unique grain and form, the roots guide the sculpture’s flow. As a result, it displays the proud arch of the neck, the strong jawline, and the alert ears. Meanwhile, curling roots form the mane, adding movement and drama. The effect feels alive, as if wind sweeps through its hair.

The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
