Horse Head is a unique wooden sculpture standing 100 cm high. It takes the form of a horse’s head, assembled from shaped and refined branches. The artist combines natural textures with deliberate carving, creating a balance between rugged authenticity and sculpted detail.
Most of the branches remain untouched, retaining their bumps, knots, and curves. These raw elements give the piece an organic presence, as though the horse emerges directly from the forest. In contrast, the branches forming the face are carved and smoothed. This refinement sharpens the features, capturing the strength and nobility of the animal.
The interplay between natural growth and human intervention defines the sculpture. The body of branches suggests wild energy, while the carefully worked face brings focus and personality. As the viewer moves around the piece, the shifting lines of the wood create new perspectives, emphasizing both fragility and power.

Delivery & Installation
The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
