Raffaella Benetti’s Lulu celebrates the playful elegance of marine life through abstraction and refined form. Cast in bronze and finished with a copper patina, the sculpture measures 59 cm high, 45 cm wide, and 24 cm deep, striking a balance between sculptural weight and visual lightness.

Benetti depicts a seal perched at the crest of a hoop, its body stylized into smooth, simplified lines that suggest both strength and buoyancy. The circular hoop provides a rhythmic counterbalance, framing the seal while also echoing the curves of its body. This interplay of form invites the viewer to read the work not only as a representation of an animal, but also as a study in geometry and movement.

The copper patina enriches the surface with a subtle warmth, softening the solidity of the bronze and adding tonal depth that shifts with changing light.
