Lovers Kiss by Simon Chidharara is a unique Shona stone sculpture, measuring 69 cm high, 47 cm wide, and 20 cm deep. It depicts two faces leaning into a tender kiss, capturing an intimate moment between the figures.
One figure rises slightly to meet the other, creating a subtle sense of movement and connection. Chidharara carves the faces directly into the stone, blending smooth, polished areas with sections left raw and untouched. This contrast emphasizes the figures while preserving the natural texture of the rock.
The sculptor balances abstraction and realism. The essential features of the faces, eyes, lips, and noses, are clearly defined, while the rest of the forms merge into the stone’s natural contours. Light and shadow play across the polished surfaces, enhancing depth and intimacy.

The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
